Call Recording: Enable, Manage, Listen, and Download

Call recording in Salesgear helps you capture every outbound conversation for review, coaching, and follow-ups. Once enabled, recordings are automatically saved and accessible from the Calls section.


🎙️ Enable call recording

Call recording is controlled at the account level.

  1. Go to Settings from the left navigation.

  2. Under Account settings, select Dialer.

  3. Enable Automatically record outgoing calls.

Once enabled, all outbound calls made by you and your teammates will be recorded automatically.

Important notes

  • Only admins can enable call recording.

  • Team members can record calls only after this option is enabled.

  • Call recording is available on the Pro plan only.

  • Call charges:

    • $0.014/min for US calls

    • $0.03/min for calls outside the US

    • $0.0025/min for every minute of a recorded call


⏸️ Manage recording during an active call

After recording is enabled, Salesgear automatically starts recording when a call connects.

  • Click Pause to temporarily stop recording.

  • The button changes to Play.

  • Click Play to resume recording.

These controls are available before the Disconnect button on the dialer.


📝 Save call details after the call

After ending a call:

  1. Select the call outcome.

  2. Add notes in Call notes.

  3. Click Log call to save the recording.

If the contact’s number isn’t saved yet, you can save it by enabling the Yes toggle below the call notes.


🎧 Listen to recorded calls

  1. Go to Calls from the left navigation.

  2. In the Overview tab, you’ll see a list of all calls made using the Salesgear dialer, including:

    • Contact name

    • Called by

    • Call outcome

    • Call notes

    • Date

    • Call duration

    • Recording

  3. Click Play in the Recording column to listen.

  4. Use Pause, Mute, or the Volume control as needed.

  5. Click Close to exit the audio player.

You can filter calls by:

  • Call outcome (top of the page)

  • Date range: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Custom


📥 Download call recordings

To download a recorded call:

  1. Open the call recording from the Calls overview.

  2. Click the three-dot menu in the audio player.

  3. Select Download.

The recording will be downloaded to your local system.


🔒 Access permissions

  • Admins can listen to and download all call recordings.

  • Non-admin users can access only the calls they personally recorded.

  • To access team recordings, non-admin users must request access from an admin.
