Sequence Configurations Tab: Inboxes, LinkedIn, Schedule, Safeguards and Limits

The Configurations tab of a sequence holds everything about how it sends: which inboxes and LinkedIn accounts it uses, when it sends, which contacts it skips, and how many contacts it takes on. A status panel beside it shows whether the sequence is ready, sending or needs attention.

To open it, go to Sequences, open a sequence and click Configurations.

📌 Inbox and LinkedIn account changes save straight away. Everything else saves when you click Save Changes on the bar that appears (You have unsaved changes).

👉 Sending inboxes

  1. Open the Sending inboxes card. It's marked Required until the sequence has at least one inbox.

  2. Click Add inbox (or Connect inbox if you have none), search by email or name, tick the inboxes under Select inboxes to add and add them.

  3. To take an inbox out, remove it and click Proceed to confirm.

📌 Emails are spread across the inboxes you add. See Sending Inboxes in a Sequence.

👉 Sending LinkedIn accounts

If your sequence has LinkedIn steps that use your own LinkedIn account, open the Sending LinkedIn accounts card, click Add LinkedIn account, tick the accounts under Select accounts to add and add them.

📌 This card only shows when automatic LinkedIn steps are on for your team.

👉 Schedule

  1. Open the Schedule card and pick a schedule from the list. The one marked Default is your default.

  2. Check the Sending window and Timezone below it. Emails and tasks go out only inside that window.

  3. Click Manage schedules to create or edit schedules.

👉 Sending safeguards

Rules that stop or skip contacts so you never email someone you shouldn't. Tick the ones you want:

  • Do not add contact to this sequence, if it is currently active on another sequence.

  • Do not add contact to this sequence, if it was previously added to another sequence.

  • Validate the e-mail addresses before adding them to the sequence.

  • Stop sequence when meeting booked. (Shows when your calendar is connected.)

  • Stop sequence when an email reply is received.

  • Stop sequence when a LinkedIn reply is received. (Shows when automatic LinkedIn steps are on.)

👉 Sending limits

New contacts start as Pending and move to Ongoing automatically within these limits:

  • Max contacts ongoing in this sequence: the most contacts active in the sequence at once (1 to 100,000).

  • Max contacts added to this sequence per 24-hour rolling period: how many contacts can start the first step every 24 hours (1 to 100,000).

👉 The status panel

The panel on the right sums up the sequence, for example Ready to activate?, Sending live, Quiet hours, Sequence paused or Needs attention. It lists what's missing (such as Add a step or Add a sending inbox), inbox health, the sending window, What's about to go out and whether safeguards are on, with a button to fix each item.

📌 Activate, pause and resume the sequence from this panel.
