Sending Inboxes in a Sequence

Adding multiple inboxes to a sequence helps distribute emails across different senders, improving deliverability and reducing spam risks. New contacts rotate across the inboxes (inbox 1, inbox 2, inbox 1, and so on), and follow-ups always go from the same inbox as the first email.

📌 By default, your default inbox is added to every new sequence. Using more than one inbox in a sequence depends on your plan; if you see an upgrade prompt, your plan allows only one.

👉 Add inboxes to a sequence

1️⃣ Go to Sequences and open the sequence where you want to add inboxes.

2️⃣ Click the Configurations tab.

3️⃣ In the Sending inboxes card, click Add inbox (or Connect inbox if you have none yet).

4️⃣ You'll see a list of inboxes that are already connected to your Salesgear account. Search or tick the inboxes you want, or use Select All.

5️⃣ Click Add N Inboxes. Inbox changes save instantly.

📌 Only inboxes with an active connection can be added. Connect them first in More → Settings → Connected Accounts. A sequence with email steps can't send without at least one inbox; the card shows a Required tag until you add one.

👉 Remove an inbox

  1. In the Sending inboxes card, click remove on the inbox.

  2. If the sequence already has contacts, confirm with Proceed. Scheduled emails from that inbox are suspended.

👉 Reassign contacts when an inbox is disconnected

If an inbox used in a sequence is disconnected or revoked, Salesgear protects your sequence flow by pausing contacts. You can optionally allow automatic reassignment to active inboxes.

  1. In the Sending inboxes card, tick Automatically reassign contacts if an inbox gets disconnected.

  2. Click Save Changes in the bar at the bottom. This option isn't saved instantly.

How it works:

  • If the inbox reconnects, contacts continue as normal

  • If not, contacts move to another active inbox in the same sequence, only if the option is enabled

  • If disabled, or no other inbox is available, contacts stay paused until you reconnect

📌 On a shared sequence, only the sequence owner can change this option. Cloned sequences inherit the same inbox configuration as the original.
