Trigger owners help control how triggers interact with sequences in a team setup.
When you create a trigger in Salesgear, you assign an owner to it.
This determines which sequences are available when configuring trigger conditions and actions, and helps keep automation organized across teams.
Understanding trigger ownership
Salesgear supports two ownership options for triggers:
Shared
Choosing Shared limits sequence-related conditions and actions to shared sequences only.
This is useful for triggers meant to apply across the entire team using common workflows.
Specific teammate
Choosing a teammate allows the trigger to access:Shared sequences
Sequences owned by the selected teammate
This option is helpful when automations are designed around individual ownership or role-specific workflows.
Changing a trigger owner
You can change the owner of an existing trigger at any time.
When you update the trigger owner, Salesgear will show a confirmation message:
“Are you sure you want to change the trigger owner? This will reset the sequence-related conditions and actions.”
Confirming this will reset only the sequence-related parts of the trigger. Other configurations remain unchanged.
