This article explains what is live feed and how it works.
Live feed is the way through which you get real-time notifications in your Gmail whenever a recipient opens your email or clicks a link in the email.
On your Gmail account page, click on the ‘extensions’ button on the top right corner of your browser.
Click on the Salesgear icon. The live feed will slide in from the right end. Here, you can see all your updates.
You can filter these results by clicking ‘filter by’ and choosing one or more of these options - not opened, opens, clicks, replied, bounced, opted out.
Live feed settings configuration
You can configure live feed settings according to your requirements. Here’s how you can do it -
On your Gmail account page, click on the ‘extensions’ button on the top right corner of your browser.
Click on the Salesgear icon. The live feed will slide in from the right end.
Click on ‘settings’ in the top horizontal menu. You will notice the following -
1️⃣ Gmail smart feature -
This allows you to select email addresses where you want smart features like tracking, inserting templates, and syncing data to CRM.
You can enable the toggle buttons against the emails that you want.
2️⃣ Tracking -
This displays the tracking options available for emails sent via Gmail.
You can enable open tracking & click tracking using the toggle buttons. Please note that when click tracking is enabled, open tracking will also be enabled.
3️⃣ Real-time notifications -
Enabling ‘email opened’ and ‘link clicked’ toggle buttons will help you get notifications on your chrome browser.
4️⃣ Connected email account -
This displays the email account that you have connected with Salesgear. This helps in syncing all your sequences and templates in Salesgear to Gmail.
5️⃣ Salesgear button visibility -
Enabling this option will automatically load the Salesgear button on the right side of your browser. This will help you get instant updates on your sent emails. You can enable this option for just Gmail, all websites, or both.
