A/B testing helps you determine which email version resonates best with your audience. Instead of relying on guesswork, this method provides data-driven insights into key metrics like open rates, clicks, replies, and bounces.
By consistently running A/B tests for the same target audience, you can refine your messaging, optimize engagement, and improve your overall outreach strategy.
👉 How Does A/B Testing Work?
Let’s say you create two email variants in a step—Variant A and Variant B. When you add contacts to the sequence:
Salesgear automatically splits them, sending half to Variant A and the other half to Variant B.
As contacts engage, you’ll get real-time insights into opens, replies, clicks, and bounces, helping you determine which variant performs better.
👉 How to A/B Test Emails in Salesgear
Open the desired sequence.
Select a step with either Automated Email or Manual Email.
Click the plus button (+) below the existing variant to add another.
Enter a different subject line and email content, then click ‘Save’.
Repeat for additional variants.
👉 A few points to remember
You can create up to 5 email variants per step.
Salesgear automatically distributes contacts evenly across the available variants. You cannot manually assign contacts to a specific variant.
A/B testing works only within either Automatic Emails or Manual Emails in a step—you cannot mix both types.
(Example: If Step 1 contains automatic emails, all variants must also be automatic emails.)
📌 Pro Tip: Regularly reviewing A/B test results will help you fine-tune your messaging and improve response rates over time.
