Contact Statuses and Actions in a Sequence

Written by Premsanth Rajamani

Contact statuses show you where each contact stands in a sequence. Here's what each one means, and what you can do about it.

👉 Contact statuses

  • All — total contacts in the sequence.

  • Pending — added but not yet started.

  • Ongoing — currently active in the sequence.

  • Completed — finished the sequence.

  • Paused — manually paused.

  • Opened — opened at least one email.

  • Clicked — clicked a link in an email.

  • Replied — replied to an email (the sequence stops for them automatically).

  • Bounced — duplicate or invalid email address, couldn't be delivered.

  • Opted Out — unsubscribed; won't be added to future sequences.

  • Auto Replies — sent an automatic response (out of office, left company, etc.), detected and marked by Salesgear.

  • Meetings Booked — scheduled a meeting with you.

  • LinkedIn Requests Sent / Accepted — LinkedIn connection request activity.

  • Profiles Viewed — LinkedIn profiles you've viewed.

👉 Actions you can take on a contact

  • Remove — deletes the contact from the sequence and cancels their scheduled emails and tasks.

  • Retry — re-attempts contacts marked as failed.

  • Reactivate — restarts contacts who previously completed the sequence or replied.

  • Resume — continues a paused contact's messages.

To apply one: go to the sequence's Contacts tab, select the contacts, click Options (⋮), choose the action, and confirm.
