Contact stages help you organize and track the buyers’ journey of each contact. This way, you can determine where a specific contact is in your sales process, decide how to handle & have communications with them to ultimately close the deal.

There are default contact stages created by Salesgear which you can edit to suit your needs. On the other hand, you can also create your own customized contact stages - check out this article to learn more.

Default contact stages

  1. Navigate to settings → contact settings → contact stages.

  2. You will find the following are the contact stages available to you by default -

    1. Bounced

    2. Opted out

    3. Contacted

    4. Not contacted

    5. Nurturing

    6. Approaching

    7. Negotiation

    8. Unresponsive

    9. Interested

  3. You can rename these stages according to your requirements (except for ‘bounced’ and ‘opted out’)

  4. You can also decide the stages that you would like to access as quick filters on the top of the contacts page.

    1. If you’d like to view a specific stage on your contacts section → ensure to have the ‘Visibility’ icon (the eye-icon) turned on for that stage.

    2. If you don’t want the stage to be visible on the contacts section, you can simply turn off the visibility icon for that stage.

Create new customized stages with the help of this article.
