The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of what are the benefits of integrating Gmail and Salesgear.

An overview of Gmail & Salesgear -

Gmail + Salesgear is a match made in heaven! ❤️

Our plugin lets you do the following within Gmail -

  • Track email opens and clicks

  • Import templates from your Salesgear account

  • Send automated follow-ups

  • Sync data to Salesforce

  • Real-time notifications

You can easily save time, capture all your data instantly, and sync it effortlessly with your CRM. The live feed offers real-time notifications, allowing you to engage and sell at the right time without switching tabs.

Here’s how you can install and use the plugin -

  1. Go to this Chrome store URL. Click on ‘Add to chrome’ in the top right corner.

  2. Chrome will prompt you for permission to install the plugin. Click ‘add extension’.

3. Navigate to your Gmail account.

4. Click on ‘compose an email’. Enter the recipients’ email address and subject line.

5. Below the subject line, you will notice the features of the plugin -

1️⃣ Templates -

You can import templates from your Salesgear account in Gmail.

  • Click on ‘templates’. It will show you a pop-up with the templates that you have in your Salesgear account.

  • Click on the template that you want to import.

  • You will now see the template in your Gmail email editor.

  • You can make any changes if you want and send them.

2️⃣ Sequence -

You can choose a sequence from your Salesgear account to set automatic follow-ups if there is no response from the contact.

  • In the Gmail email editor, click on ‘sequences’ under the subject line.

  • This will show all the sequences you have in your Salesgear account. Choose a sequence.

  • You will now see the entire sequence with all the stages that you created in Salesgear.

  • At the bottom right of the email editor, you can increase/decrease the number of days to set up a follow-up after 'x' days.

3️⃣ Tracking

You can track email opens and link clicks for the emails sent from Gmail.

  • In the Gmail email editor, you will find a toggle button ‘track’ below the subject line.

  • You will notice two toggle buttons (under ‘track’) - open tracking & click tracking. You can switch on both if you want to track email opens & clicks. Or just enable open tracking to track email opens alone.

Note: You cannot track link clicks without enabling open tracking but you can do the converse - which is tracking open rate but not the click rate.

4️⃣ Sync with Salesforce

Here’s how you can sync data from Gmail to Salesforce CRM -

  • Enable the toggle button ‘Log to Salesforce’ below the subject line.

  • When enabled, all your data and activities on Gmail will be synced up with Salesforce, only if the recipients are present in Salesforce.
