In this article, we take you through assigning and modifying the owners of the contacts. As a Salesgear user, you will be able to change the owners to the already existing contacts within Salesgear and also assign owners to the contacts coming into the application.

How to assign or change owners?

  1. Navigate to the Contacts section from the left-side panel.

  2. Select the Contact(s), you want to change the owner of.

  3. From the Options icon on the top right, you will be able to select the ‘Update Owner’ option.

  4. You will be able to select the owner from the popup that appears and update the owner.

Points to remember:

  1. You can update the owner of the contacts individually and by selecting the contacts in bulk.

  2. You can check when was the owner changed from the Activity Timeline.

Why assign or change owners?

  1. The users will be able to access all the information of the contacts when they are the owner.

  2. The users can run and re-run sequences to the contacts they are the owner of.
