What are Step-level metrics in Sequence and how do you use it?

Step-level metrics are microscopic views of a particular sequence that you can filter out your data set. With Salesgear’s extensive insights, you can gauge the effectiveness of your campaigns and make data-driven decisions to modify your campaigns strategically.

In this article, we will walk you through the step-level metrics in Salesgear, how to use them, and their benefits.

Before getting started, let’s see how to navigate to Step-level metrics. Let’s assume you’re on the home page:

  1. Enter into the Sequences section

  2. Click on the sequence you want reports from

  3. Enter into Contacts

  4. Click on the Step-level metrics icon in the right corner.

Now you can see micro-level numbers of your email campaigns. You can see the numbers for each step on the right. The user can navigate to each step on the right-side panel and look at the open rates, click-through rates, etc. closely.

Advantages of step-level metrics:

  1. Helpful in looking at email campaigns closely.

  2. It will help in making strategic changes to the campaign.

  3. Your eyes can catch what works and what doesn’t exactly.

Point to remember:

  1. You may see a few numbers on top of each step in the sequence, when you click on them the filter is applied directly to the contacts. It is a shortcut to step-level metrics as well.
