What does Website Tracking do?

Website Tracking lets you see how prospects interact with your website after clicking links in emails sent from Salesgear.

You can track:

  • Pages visited

  • Time spent on each page

  • Visitor location

  • Company information (where available)

This helps identify high-intent prospects—especially those reviewing pricing or product pages.

How to enable Website Tracking

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Website Tracking

  3. Copy the tracking script provided

  4. Paste it into the header section of the pages you want to track

  5. Once active, a success message appears in Salesgear

Optional: identify logged-in users

To track activity for a specific known user, use:

sg.identify("USER_EMAIL")

Replace USER_EMAIL with the contact’s email address.

Website Tracking dashboard metrics

  • Visits – total visits for the selected date range

  • Unique Visitors – distinct visitors

  • Avg. Time – average time spent on your site

  • Visitor Data – name, company, location, and visit duration

  • Session Details – pages viewed, timestamps, and time spent per page

Use this data to trigger re-engagement sequences or prioritize follow-ups.
