Creating and managing custom contact stages

Every sales team works differently. Custom contact stages let you reflect your exact sales lifecycle inside Salesgear, instead of adapting your process to fixed labels.

Custom stages are especially useful when:

  • Your pipeline has more granular steps

  • Different teams follow different workflows

  • You want clearer internal reporting and filtering

How to create a custom contact stage

  1. Go to Settings → Contact settings → Contact stages

  2. Click Create new stage

  3. Enter a stage name

  4. Click Create stage

The new stage will appear in the list and can immediately be used for contacts.

Managing custom stages

  • You can rename or delete any custom stage

  • When a stage is deleted, contacts in that stage are moved to No stage

  • You can update those contacts later from the Contacts section
