If you're using an email provider other than Google or Microsoft, you can still connect your inbox to Salesgear via SMTP and IMAP. We will walk you through the setup process using a GoDaddy email account as an example.
π Step 1: Configure SMTP (Outgoing Mail Server)
Go to Settings β Connected Accounts.
Click Connect Inbox and select Connect SMTP/IMAP.
Enter your sender details:
Sender Name
Email Address
Username
Password
Enter your SMTP server details:
GoDaddy SMTP Host: smtpout.secureserver.net
Choose the correct SMTP port:
25: Outdated, often blocked.
465: Secure and reliable. β (Recommended)
587: Most commonly used.
2525: Backup option.
Click Test to verify your SMTP details. Once verified, the IMAP section will autofill automatically.
π Step 2: Configure IMAP (Incoming Mail Server)
Enter your IMAP server details:
GoDaddy IMAP Host: imap.secureserver.net
If using a different provider, refer to the table below for common IMAP settings.
Choose the correct IMAP port:
143: Basic, unencrypted.
993: Secure and recommended. β (Recommended)
Click Test to verify your IMAP details.

Once both SMTP and IMAP settings are verified, click Saveβyour inbox is now connected to Salesgear and ready to use!
