Opt Out a Contact

Opt-out is a safety and compliance feature. When a contact opts out (or you opt them out), Salesgear stops all outreach to them so you don’t accidentally:

  • Send future sequence emails

  • Call them again

  • Continue tasks tied to outreach

Opt-out is different from deletion — it preserves history but stops engagement.

What changes when a contact is opted out

  • Outreach is blocked (emails/calls/tasks related to outreach)

  • Contact remains in Salesgear for recordkeeping

  • Helps teams avoid compliance mistakes

Step-by-step: Opt out a contact

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Click Options (⋮) on the contact

  3. Choose Opt Out

  4. Confirm
