Add Tags to Contacts

Tags are lightweight labels that make your contact list instantly easier to manage. You can use tags to:

  • Segment by ICP (e.g., “SaaS”, “US”, “Mid-market”)

  • Track source (e.g., “Webinar”, “Sales Nav”, “Inbound demo”)

  • Track intent/state (e.g., “Interested”, “Pricing page”, “Warm lead”)

Tags matter because they make bulk actions safe and fast:

  • Filter a group → add to a sequence → assign owner → export → create tasks

Where tags can be used

  • Contacts list filters

  • Bulk actions

  • Search

  • Sequencing workflows (to target the right subset)

Step-by-step: Add tags to a single contact

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Click Options (⋮) on the contact row

  3. Choose Edit

  4. Add tags under Contact Tags

  5. Click Update Contact

Step-by-step: Add tags in bulk

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Select multiple contacts using checkboxes

  3. Click Options (⋮) in the top action bar

  4. Click Add Tags

  5. Select existing tags or create new ones

  6. Click Update

Note: Bulk updates for 100+ contacts may take a few minutes to reflect.
