What this feature does (and why it matters)

Contacts are the “source of truth” for your outreach in Salesgear. Once a contact exists in Salesgear, you can:

  • Enroll them into sequences (email, LinkedIn, call steps)

  • Assign ownership to control who can engage them

  • Tag and filter them for segmentation

  • Track all activity (emails, calls, tasks) in one place

Salesgear supports two ways to add contacts:

  • Single contact: best for one-off prospecting or manual entry

  • Bulk import (CSV): best for uploading lead lists at scale

What you can do after importing

Immediately after contacts are added, you can:

  • Add them to sequences (start outreach)

  • Add tags (segment by ICP, source, intent, campaign)

  • Assign owners (route leads to the right teammate)

  • Export later (sharing, backups, reporting)

Step-by-step: Add a single contact

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Click Add Contacts (top right)

  3. Select Single

  4. Fill in the details (name, email, phone, company, location, social links)

  5. (Optional) Add Tags and Custom Fields

  6. (Optional) Add the contact to Lists if needed

  7. Click Upload

Step-by-step: Add contacts in bulk (CSV)

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Click Add Contacts

  3. Select Multiple

  4. Upload / drag-drop the CSV file

  5. Review field mapping (CSV headers → Salesgear contact fields)

  6. Click Upload Contacts

  7. (Optional) Add a tag

  8. (Optional) Add to lists

  9. Click Continue
