In this article, we will see how to add contacts from a sequence section.
Contacts can be added in two ways:
Single
Multiple
5.1 Steps to add single contact within sequence section:
Click on the ‘sequences’ icon in the vertical side menu bar.
Select the sequence to which you want to add contacts.
Click on the blue-colored ‘add contacts’ button in the top right.
Choose the ‘single’ option from the drop-down menu.
Enter the necessary personal, company, and location information. Provide social links of the contact and contact tags, if needed. Create necessary custom fields for better personalization.
Click ‘upload’.
The next screen of the dialogue prompt will show you the sequence that the contact will be taken through. You can preview each of the stages by clicking them within the same prompt.
Click on ‘start sequence’.
Now your contact will be added to the sequence.
5.2 Steps to add multiple contacts within the sequence section:
Click on the ‘sequences’ icon on the vertical side menu bar.
Select the sequence to which you want to add contacts.
Click on the blue-colored ‘add contacts’ button in the top right.
Choose the ‘multiple’ option from the drop-down menu.
Drag and drop or upload your CSV/ Excel file with the contacts.
Once the file is uploaded, you can preview the list of contacts with CSV headers mapped with appropriate contact fields.
Click on ‘upload contacts’.
You will be prompted to add a tag to the contacts. You can add them if you want, or click on ‘continue without adding tag’ to skip.
9. The next screen displays the sequence. You can click on each stage to preview.
10. Once everything is set, click on ‘start sequence’.

Do your research to understand your target audience before building your contact list or adding them to a sequence.
Look out for their pain points and pay attention to how to solve them.
Important factors to discover during this part:
→ Time zone - Which time zone does your contact sit in? What is the difference between their time zone and yours?
→ Industry - What industry are your contacts accounted for? How will they approach your emails?
→ Designation - What is the job title of your contact? What does this mean in terms of leisure time in their time zone?
