Activating a variant means it will be sent to contacts in the sequence, while deactivating it removes it from the step—ensuring no contacts receive it and no engagement metrics are tracked.
✅ At least one email variant must remain active in every step if it’s an Automated Email or Manual Email step.
👉How to Activate or Deactivate an Email Variant
Go to the required sequence.
Locate the step containing the email variant.
Use the toggle switch on the left of the variant:
Turn it ON to activate the variant (it will be sent to contacts).
Turn it OFF to deactivate the variant (it will be excluded).
