5. Create Your First Sequence

Build a sequence with email, LinkedIn and call steps.

Sequences are where Salesgear brings email, LinkedIn, calls, and tasks together into a single, automated workflow.

This guide helps you build your first one step by step.

Step 1: Create a new sequence

  1. Go to Sequences

  2. Click Add New → New Sequence

  3. Choose how you want to build:

    • Create new (from scratch)

    • A pre-built template from the Sequence Template Library

  4. Name your sequence and click Create sequence

📌 Prefer to describe it? Open Copilot (More → Copilot, or the box on Home) and type something like "Build a 4-step sequence for VPs of Sales: email, LinkedIn, call, email". Copilot shows you a draft to review before it creates anything.

Step 2: Add steps across channels

  1. Click Add Step

  2. Choose a step:

    • Email (Automatic) or Email (Manual)

    • LinkedIn (Automatic) or LinkedIn (Manual)

    • Call

    • Custom Task

    • Deep Research: researches each contact and writes personalized content for your later steps

  3. Set the wait time for each step and write the content

Example flow:

  • Step 1: Automated email

  • Step 2: LinkedIn message (send after 3 days if no reply)

  • Step 3: Follow-up email

Each step can be timed, personalized, and customized.

📌 LinkedIn steps need a connected LinkedIn account. The Deep Research step shows only if Deep Research is on for your team, and uses 10 credits per contact. The Free plan limits how many sequences you can have.

Why this matters

  • Consistent outreach without manual effort

  • Better response rates with multi-touch follow-ups

  • Clear visibility into what's working
